Caroline was born in Sweden, grew up in Canada and lived in Poland. She has danced, owned a Pilates studio frequented by A-list celebrities and even had a stint in real estate. Her screenwriting degree has taught her to be aware of the details, to be present and in the moment with writing. As the founder of the popular blog, StyleOnTheSide, she’s here to share her personal experiences, insights and ultimately give you permission to step outside of your box and discover your own unique voice. Her new book, Tell Me What You See, is a visual prompt journal to help you see the world through a new lens.

Vanessa is a word sorceress — an SFF author and editor — who loves a good story. Her life seldom strays from the world of books, especially during winter hibernation. Even her volunteer work revolves around the literary world, with involvement in National Novel Writing Month as a long-time municipal liaison for Kitchener-Waterloo. She recently finished her time as president of the Waterloo-Wellington branch of the Canadian Authors Association and served a term as co-coordinator of the Editors Canada twig for Kitchener-Waterloo-Guelph, which she helped launch.
When she’s not being bookish, she’s into astronomy, hiking, kickboxing, and gardening, and has a personal goal to visit all the national parks. Don’t ask her about her love of trees unless you’ve got some time to spare. She loves Halloween, hates to be cold, and wishes she lived closer to mountains. Vanessa lives in Waterloo with her husband, daughter, and three dogs.
